On the 18th of May, we had the privilege of hosting the distinguished Sensei Aidan Trimble, 8th Dan, for an exceptional karate seminar.
Known for his world-class teaching and excellent communication skills, Sensei Trimble created an engaging and productive environment that encouraged hard work while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
His approach ensures that every student improves, understanding that each technique has a purpose and is tailored for both effectiveness and the longevity of their training.

Diverse Participation:
The seminar drew a diverse group of karateka from various regions including Wales, Norwich, London, and other areas of the UK, alongside our own club members.
This mix of participants added to the seminar’s vibrant atmosphere.
Class Structure:
The seminar was organised into three distinct groups: the first for all grades and the subsequent two for brown belts and above.
In the first class, participants focused on kicking techniques, emphasizing correct form to achieve the best application possible. The focus on foundational skills helped students refine their techniques effectively.
Advanced Training:
The subsequent classes for brown and black belts concentrated on the Kata Kanku Dai and its application. Students appreciated the opportunity to dive deeper into their kata practice, enhancing their understanding and execution.
Sensei Trimble also incorporated additional kicking drills, refining techniques to ensure safe yet impactful performance, which participants tested on bags.
